VIRAL INFECTION TREATMENTS

If You Are Infected by the COVID 19 Virus:

home isolation and self-care management strategies are initiated promptly.

Relapse Risk can occur and infection can be more serious the second time. Strongly recommended to stay isolated with bed rest for at least two more days (better 5 days) in order for the immune system to fully recover. Virus may still be passed on to others in you don’t wait long enough for full recovery.

FROM DR. WES YOUNBERG LECTURES:

Vitamin D

At first sign of cold or flu take 1 dropper or 50,000 iu liquid D3, once or twice daily

for 3-5 days, (1,000 iu per pound body weight per day for 3 days)

Vitamin C

The body can absorb much higher levels without GI distress, may increase to 4,000 mg three times/day

To Kill Viruses in your sinuses, lungs, skin, room air and any surfaces:

Liquid Iodine Forte (150mcg/drop) - a natural antiviral, anti-fungal, and antibiotic

ACS 200 spray (colloidal silver product) a natural antiviral, antifungal, and antibiotic

The Liquid Iodine Forte and ACS 200 spray may be combined in equal amounts into 20 ml or 30 ml nasal spray bottles that come in various colors, round or rectangular, and glass or plastic.  Available online too.

Biocidin TS – advanced formula throat spray

Zinc – 10mg tablets

Quercitin – a safe natural flavonoid, helps zinc enter the cell in order to block viral replications

N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) found naturally in the body

Refer to the Immune Support Section also for more information about Quercitin and NAC

HYDROTHERAPY, WHAT DOES THE SCIENCE SAY?

Roger Seheult, M.D.  Pulmonary & Critical Care

Working Hypotheses:

1. Innate immunity can be strengthened by manipulating external heat/cold applied to body

2. Heating and cooling seems to increase markers of innate immunity (NK cells, Macrophages)

3. These interventions don’t necessarily seem to exacerbate the “cytokine storm” implicated in ARDS or pneumonia

4. Heat followed by cold improve innate immunity significantly enough to reduce actual diseases

such as colds from viral infections, severity of illnesses, and even pneumonias admitted to the

hospital- many more studies Roger Seheult, M.D. Pulmonary & Critical Care

COVID 19 lecture October 2020

Infected (5 days) results in symptoms (7 days) lead to admission to hospital

Course of the Disease: population > infection (80% have success fighting off the infection) 20% go to hospital ICU ventilator (Remdesivir, Convalescent Plasma, Dexamethasone) if poor response, lead to death

The Innate Immune system (Born with) gets weaker with age and the adaptive immune system gets stronger with age (learns with age)

Interferon response in COVID 19: (studies published 2020)

SARS- CoV-2 encodes many proteins

Some of these proteins block critical early Interferon response

The early interferon response is critical for viral elimination

If for any reason it is blocked - there seems to be an increase in severity of the disease

If the response is late, results in increased inflammation

Current emergency room treatment approved by FDA:

Remdesivir:

not for to be used with renal problems

not shown to be effective in late phases, might be helpful in early (mild) stages, World Health Organization (WHO) study showed no benefit at all

Dexamethasone (steroid):

for patients on oxygen and ventilator, (late phase) no used if patient is not on oxygen

Convalescent Plasma:

looks like it works better when given early and in higher doses, no control group to compare to. No benefit at all according to a large study in India (more than 2,000 patients)

How to help those in the early phase: (80% of those infected)

Supplement Vitamin D

Essential oils - Eucalyptus may improve innate immunity

Sleep (7+ hrs.)

Hydrothermal therapy

Vitamin D Level:

The higher the Vitamin D level (blood tested) the lower the risk of COVID infection (50-60 ng/mL target level), doesn’t matter on geographical location, age, race, or gender.

published 9/17/2020, find out how much supplementation you need by using this calculator: Vitamin D calculator

Essential Oils:

Eucalyptus Oil is able to implement the innate cell-mediated immune response. Caution: can be toxic if ingested in high amounts, use sparingly, few drops.

Natural Killer Cells can be improved by being outdoors in fresh air and sunlight, improves immune response

Sleep:

<7 hrs/night had 3x rate of infection

Delta Sleep (when you first go to sleep) - slow wave sleep the best before midnight

Hydrothermal Therapy:

A recent study shows: The thermal effect of fever directly activates monocytes, which increases their ability to respond to bacterial challenge. You may have a mutation that prevents you from having an interferon response to a virus, fever directly bypasses the activating DNA response.

Hydrothermal Therapy: NOT a panacea

Based on historical evidence and rational scientific postulates, therefore should be given serious consideration, part of a preventive regimen, part of a therapeutic regimen

Activated Charcoal:

According to recent studies, activated charcoal may reduce the cytokine storm during an active viral infection thereby reducing inflammation and severity of symptoms.

How to use:
