If You Are Infected by the COVID 19 Virus:
- Check your temperature 1-3 times/day: >100.4 F, for elderly >99.6F take action
- A good prognosis with full recovery is increased when the infection is diagnosed early and
home isolation and self-care management strategies are initiated promptly.
- Step 1: immediate isolation at home is critical
- Step 2: Promptly start natural treatments while in home bedroom isolation. Complete bed-rest away from other people, drink water frequently (keep urine clear), no sugar, no juices, and no junk food, only eat wholesome food like greens and colorful vegetables, whole fruits and soups with lentils, go 4 hrs between meals, rest – try to sleep between meals.
- Hydrotherapy: using hot-cold contrast showers, bathing or fomentations, can powerfully optimize immune function by decongesting the lungs, greatly stimulate antibody production against viral and other forms of infection.
- If you have a bad cough, shortness of breath, increased respiration (30 or more breaths/min.), blood oxygen saturation <93%, you need immediate medical attention and/or hospitalization.
- Contact your primary care physician, local urgent care, or hospital ER by phone before going to the hospital.
Relapse Risk can occur and infection can be more serious the second time. Strongly recommended to stay isolated with bed rest for at least two more days (better 5 days) in order for the immune system to fully recover. Virus may still be passed on to others in you don’t wait long enough for full recovery.
FROM DR. WES YOUNBERG LECTURES:
Vitamin D
At first sign of cold or flu take 1 dropper or 50,000 iu liquid D3, once or twice daily
for 3-5 days, (1,000 iu per pound body weight per day for 3 days)
Vitamin C
The body can absorb much higher levels without GI distress, may increase to 4,000 mg three times/day
To Kill Viruses in your sinuses, lungs, skin, room air and any surfaces:
Liquid Iodine Forte (150mcg/drop) - a natural antiviral, anti-fungal, and antibiotic
- Preventive – spray one or two sprits into each nostril 1-3 times daily as needed to minimize risks.
- Systemic or GI infections – use 5 sprays in mouth and swallow three times a day.
- Lower respiratory – virus, bacteria or fungus infection, spray liquid iodine into your mouth and inhale into your lungs (3-5+ sprays three or more times/day). Iodine breaks up mucous congestion and supports the health of the cells lining the sinuses, throat, and lungs.
- Use topically – spray low dose iodine mist on suspected exposure including eyes, skin, etc.
ACS 200 spray (colloidal silver product) a natural antiviral, antifungal, and antibiotic
- Preventative – spray 1 or 2 sprits into each nostril 1-3x/day. Topically – eyes and skin
- Internal infection – 5 sprays in mouth and swallow three times/day, for lungs 5 sprays and inhale into lungs 3X/day.
The Liquid Iodine Forte and ACS 200 spray may be combined in equal amounts into 20 ml or 30 ml nasal spray bottles that come in various colors, round or rectangular, and glass or plastic. Available online too.
Biocidin TS – advanced formula throat spray
- spray 1-3 times in mouth towards back of throat 1 or more times/day prn. Made of herbs.
Zinc – 10mg tablets
- Dissolve tablets in mouth, may use every 2 hrs, 10 tabs/day max. don’t use more than 7 days in a row without consulting your doctor.
- Zinc Citrate or Picolinate – 25-50mg. take 1 capsule 2x/day
Quercitin – a safe natural flavonoid, helps zinc enter the cell in order to block viral replications
- Prevention: Quercetin 250–500 mg two time/day and Vitamin C 500 mg two times/day
- Mild cases of infection: Quercetin 250–500 mg two time/day and Vitamin C 500 mg two times/day
- Severe Cases of infection: Quercetin 500 mg two times/day and Vitamin C 3 grams every 6 hours for 7 days
N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) found naturally in the body
- If infected - take two 600 mg orally daily, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. Greatly reduces flue like symptoms by 75%. NAC can block the bacteria from making its biofilm, greatly improving antibiotic activity.
Refer to the Immune Support Section also for more information about Quercitin and NAC

HYDROTHERAPY, WHAT DOES THE SCIENCE SAY?
Roger Seheult, M.D. Pulmonary & Critical Care
Working Hypotheses:
1. Innate immunity can be strengthened by manipulating external heat/cold applied to body
2. Heating and cooling seems to increase markers of innate immunity (NK cells, Macrophages)
3. These interventions don’t necessarily seem to exacerbate the “cytokine storm” implicated in ARDS or pneumonia
4. Heat followed by cold improve innate immunity significantly enough to reduce actual diseases
such as colds from viral infections, severity of illnesses, and even pneumonias admitted to the
hospital- many more studies Roger Seheult, M.D. Pulmonary & Critical Care
COVID 19 lecture October 2020
Infected (5 days) results in symptoms (7 days) lead to admission to hospital
Course of the Disease: population > infection (80% have success fighting off the infection) 20% go to hospital ICU ventilator (Remdesivir, Convalescent Plasma, Dexamethasone) if poor response, lead to death
The Innate Immune system (Born with) gets weaker with age and the adaptive immune system gets stronger with age (learns with age)
Interferon response in COVID 19: (studies published 2020)
SARS- CoV-2 encodes many proteins
Some of these proteins block critical early Interferon response
The early interferon response is critical for viral elimination
If for any reason it is blocked - there seems to be an increase in severity of the disease
If the response is late, results in increased inflammation
Current emergency room treatment approved by FDA:
Remdesivir:
not for to be used with renal problems
not shown to be effective in late phases, might be helpful in early (mild) stages, World Health Organization (WHO) study showed no benefit at all
Dexamethasone (steroid):
for patients on oxygen and ventilator, (late phase) no used if patient is not on oxygen
Convalescent Plasma:
looks like it works better when given early and in higher doses, no control group to compare to. No benefit at all according to a large study in India (more than 2,000 patients)
How to help those in the early phase: (80% of those infected)
Supplement Vitamin D
Essential oils - Eucalyptus may improve innate immunity
Sleep (7+ hrs.)
Hydrothermal therapy
Vitamin D Level:
The higher the Vitamin D level (blood tested) the lower the risk of COVID infection (50-60 ng/mL target level), doesn’t matter on geographical location, age, race, or gender.
published 9/17/2020, find out how much supplementation you need by using this calculator: Vitamin D calculator
Essential Oils:
Eucalyptus Oil is able to implement the innate cell-mediated immune response. Caution: can be toxic if ingested in high amounts, use sparingly, few drops.
Natural Killer Cells can be improved by being outdoors in fresh air and sunlight, improves immune response
Sleep:
<7 hrs/night had 3x rate of infection
Delta Sleep (when you first go to sleep) - slow wave sleep the best before midnight
Hydrothermal Therapy:
A recent study shows: The thermal effect of fever directly activates monocytes, which increases their ability to respond to bacterial challenge. You may have a mutation that prevents you from having an interferon response to a virus, fever directly bypasses the activating DNA response.
Key Points:
- Vitamin D and sunlight may impact our immunity to reduce morbidity from COVID-19 especially the cytokine storm
- Essential Oils may impact our immunity in positive ways especially in areas that are depressed by COVID-19
- Sleep and its consequences have a major impact on our immunity especially when it comes to viral infections. The most important part of sleep is at the beginning of the night before midnight.
- Hydrotherapy (hot/cold) also impacts our immunity especially our innate immune system which is crucial to fighting COVID-19

Hydrothermal Therapy Using Water to Apply Heat & Cold by John Kelly, MD, MPH, Lifestyle Medicine Specialist
Hydrothermal moist heat pack (fomentation)
- Subject lying on back with plenty of covers —keep warm!
- Hot foot bath 104-110F (<104F for diabetes or neuropathy)
- Apply cold terrycloth to head — keep head cool!
- Hot moist heat to chest - wrap heat packs in towels to avoid
burning skin
- Place wrapped heat pack under spine, from nape of pelvis
- Place one across the check and cover subject with blankets
- Replace top fomentation every 4-5 minutes, rub chest with
cold terrycloth between exchanges
- Continue 3-4 exchanges, or until profuse perspiring – keep head cool!
- End with cold terrycloth rub to chest and cover with blankets
- Pour cold water over feet and remove foot bath
- Continue cold to head until perspiring subsides
- Bed rest

Hydrothermal Therapy: NOT a panacea
Based on historical evidence and rational scientific postulates, therefore should be given serious consideration, part of a preventive regimen, part of a therapeutic regimen
Activated Charcoal:
According to recent studies, activated charcoal may reduce the cytokine storm during an active viral infection thereby reducing inflammation and severity of symptoms.
How to use:
- Dissolve 1 tablespoon of activated charcoal in water and stir. Activated charcoal does not taste but has a chalky texture. You may want to mix with fruit juice especially for children, use 1 teaspoon for children.
- Take orally two times/day daily for up to one week.
- Do not take with other medications or supplements, wait at least three hours or the charcoal will absorb your medications and supplements.
From AWR 360 HEALTH SEMINARS:
1918 Spanish Flu pandemic – 675,000 death in U.S., 50 million deaths worldwide
- In Army camps, 20% got Spanish Flu symptoms
- 16.7% of Army personal developing influenza symptoms contracted pneumonia
- 40% of Army personnel developing pneumonia died during this pandemic
- Death rate for influenza in Army personnel 6.7%
- 1.34% of all Army camp personnel died from the flu
- They had the best known medical/health care available in the USA
In contrast, look at data from 10 Sanitariums:
- 446 treated with hydrotherapy in sanitariums
- 677 treated with hydrotherapy in non-supervised settings in the community
- Total of 1,123 influenza symptom patient treated
- 677 community treated patients
- 55 contracted pneumonia, most had pneumonia as “well established” at the time the hydrotherapy was commenced
- 47.2% of these pneumonia patients died
- 3.8% of the total outpatients with the flu died
Of the 446 Sanitarium patients with influenza:
- Only 2.4% got pneumonia
- 54.5% of those with pneumonia died
- 1.3% of total influenza patients died who had received hydrotherapy in sanitarium starting from the beginning
Diagnosed influenza patients:
- 16.7% pneumonia with “the best medical care” vs. 2.4% with best sanitarium care, major difference is hydrotherapy
- Death rate of 6.7% “best medicare care” vs. 1.3% best sanitarium care with hydrotherapy
